]]>Mudgee’s Beauty Reclaimed Cosmetic Centre is helping rural men and women reclaim their lives, thanks to the success of one of the Central West region’s only Emsella chairs.
The chair, which uses revolutionary technology to boost pelvic floor strength, is improving patients’ urinary and sexual health with just one visit, diverting clients from expensive surgeries and ongoing medical treatment.
Beauty Reclaimed Cosmetic Centre owner and registered nurse Angela Winters said dozens of people had already recorded successful results from the Emsella, reporting regular appointments had helped them reclaim their confidence and lifestyle.
“For many Australians, urinary incontinence is a hidden condition that dominates their life - it affects around 40% of women and 11% of men. It often prevents them from living their life to the fullest,” she said.
"We’ve seen patients go from really struggling with their pelvic floor, to noticing an instant difference in their bladder leakage and pelvic muscle strength. It’s allowing them to go back to things they love, like regular exercise and long walks, and removing so much stress and worry from their lives.
“It’s also diverting patients away from expensive treatments, and ongoing medical visits, and even surgery. They no longer need to travel for treatment or put off intervention because it’s too difficult or time-consuming - we’ve got a simple, non-invasive treatment, right here in the Central West.”
Mudgee Emsella patient Sharan said the chair had already drastically improved her pelvic floor strength:
The Emsella chair uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy (HIFEM) to rapidly connect and improve pelvic floor strength. Put simply, the chair works by boosting the performance and activity of the pelvic floor muscles, helping clients achieve results faster.
It is ideal for people suffering from stress urinary continence, which causes leakage when there is pressure on the bladder, and urge urinary incontinence or a sudden urge to urinate.
It is also recommended for men, who have had prostate surgery, or are suffering from erectile dysfunction, along with women experiencing pelvic floor difficulties after giving birth.
A typical Emsella session takes just 20 minutes and is non-invasive (users remain fully clothed) and is pain-free.

It’s a new year at Mudgee’s Beauty Reclaimed Cosmetic Centre, and what better way to kick off a new year than by introducing new treatments in-clinic!?
We’re serious about getting your skin in good condition for the year ahead - and with a range of treatment options available at our Mudgee clinic, there’s no excuse for dull, dry skin in 2024!
As a leading regional beauty and wellness business, we’re committed to innovation in both our treatment offering and our equipment, and we’re constantly looking for new ways to pamper and improve your skin.
With that in mind, we’ve introduced several new treatments this year to take your skin game to a whole new level.
You’ve probably heard of microdermabrasion, but have you heard of hydrodermabrasion? While microdermabrasion works to remove dead skin, hydrodermabrasion not only exfoliates, but also hydrates and nourishes skin - and at the same time!
Our new Hydrolux machine offers hydrodermabrasion at its finest. It uses water jets and a vacuum massage to exfoliate, hydrate and clean out your pores, revealing smoother, more even textured skin.
The Hydrolux starts with deep exfoliation, removing dead skin and excess oil, before we combine the water jets and vacuum massage for the ultimate skin exfoliation and hydration #seriouslylush.
Expect an instant skin refresh, with no downtime! It’s a fantastic treatment for those looking to rehydrate and replenish their skin, while getting a deep, detoxifying clean.
It’s ideal for:
💧 Improving skin texture
💧 Reducing fine lines & discolouration
💧 Reducing the appearance of acne & oiliness
💧 Enhancing your overall skin tone
In a nutshell? It’s all the good skin vibes of microdermabrasion [exfoliation and skin renewal] with the intense infusion of hydrodermabrasion for an instant skin boost.
Head to our bookings page to try out the Hydrolux for yourself!
This one is for our acne sufferers! Our IPL acne treatment targets acne-prone skin to reduce bacteria, breakouts and inflammation for a clearer, more balanced and healthier looking complexion. It’s ideal for getting hormonal skin under control (hello teenagers!), or addressing problems caused by recurring, inflammatory acne.
The treatment involves directing concentrated light pulses at the skin, which is absorbed by acne-causing bacteria and overactive sebaceous glands. This absorption process destroys bacteria and reduces gland activity, reducing inflammation and preventing future breakouts #lovethat.
Even better, IPL also encourages collagen production, aiding the skin’s healing process and improving overall texture and health. The result? Clearer skin all-year-long.
We recommend eight sessions (2 per week) to maximise results.
Head to our bookings page to book your IPL acne treatment today.
Nurse Ange and the BRCC team are on-hand and available to discuss your skin concerns and recommend a treatment plan that works for you.
Pop in to see the team today, or book a consultation - we can’t wait to kick-off your 2024 skincare journey with you!
]]>2023 has been a growth year for Mudgee’s Beauty Reclaimed Cosmetic Centre. We’ve expanded our team, added new services and machines, and focused on moving towards a holistic wellness approach across the clinic.
This year, we farewelled our beloved Tash, who had been with the business since its move to bigger premises on Market Street, and Hannah, who moved onto new ventures at the end of the year. But, we also welcomed some new faces. We welcomed a new cosmetic injector, Sarah. With injectable treatments in high demand, trained nurse Sarah was a perfect fit to strengthen the injectables side of Beauty Reclaimed.
Sarah brings a wealth of clinical experience to team BR, along with a friendly, comforting and relaxed approach - exactly what you need during injectable appointments!
She has also allowed Ange to step back a little from face-to-face treatments, enabling her to work on the business and strategise and plan for the future.
2023 also saw the addition of Erika to the BR team. Erika joined the business as a part-time receptionist, helping to manage the clinic’s ever-growing administration arm. Erika has been a welcome arrival, keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly and managing the myriad of behind-the-scenes tasks.
Erika’s arrival also heralded a new treatment for the clinic - the Emsella machine. Erika’s business, Inner Strength Mudgee, officially moved into the clinic in September, offering a dedicated machine for people struggling with their pelvic floor.
The specially developed chair helps treat urinary incontinence and pelvic floor issues, particularly post-childbirth, as well as working to improve sexual health and function. It’s been well-received by clients and newcomers alike - we can’t wait to see it continue to grow next year.
It’s delivered some incredible results, and helped dozens of clients with everything from unwanted hair to enlarged pores, pigmentation and wrinkles.
We also officially released the Airy Day sunscreen line in-clinic, giving clients access to a silky, clear and easy-to-wear sunscreen, and Vida Glow - the best natural marine collagen powder for skin, hair & nails.
These new machines and treatments have helped move Beauty Reclaimed Cosmetic Centre towards our goal of creating a holistic wellness space. Many of our clients are now using services across injectables, skin, beauty and the Emsella, and seeing great results from a combined treatment approach.
Our focus in 2024 will be on taking a more overarching view when it comes to our clients’ treatments, using our combined service offering to deliver fantastic results.
Finally, we’ve also focused heavily on community engagement in 2023.
We recognise that we’re part of a tight-knit, closely held community in Mudgee, and wanted to play a bigger role in giving back to a community that’s given us so much!
This year, we hosted our first-ever Biggest Morning Tea, raising just over $1000 for the Cancer Council and also offered a special Pink Facial during October as part of the region’s Pink Up Mudgee celebrations. We were thrilled to recently donate nearly $300 to the Pink Up Mudgee committee.
We’re incredibly lucky to have continued to expand our customer base in 2023 and to have welcomed so many new faces, while also continuing to deliver for our long-time clients.
We know times are tough and many are facing rising interest rates and cost-of-living expenses. It makes us even more thankful to continue seeing so many wonderful clients in our clinic every day!
We’d also like to extend a huge thanks to all our training and product partners, our supporters across our social media and digital platforms, our PR agency Real Public Relations, and the Mudgee community, who continue to wholeheartedly get behind our initiatives and the clinic itself.

For many women, the mental load is HEAVY, so we've got a few tips to taking care of your mental health & wellness this month.
]]>
We spend our waking (and non-waking!) hours trying to keep track of all the details - and it’s a heavy burden to carry.
October is Mental Health Awareness Month and it’s a timely reminder for Mudgee ladies to take a moment and ask: “how am I really doing?” If the answer is burnt-out, stressed, tired or emotionally drained, it might be time for a wellness check.
For us, wellness comes in all shapes and sizes. It’s about a commitment to your overall health and well-being. From ensuring you make time for those all-important physical check-ups (regular breast checks & pap smears), to eating well, getting plenty of rest and staying in tune with your body.
Keep getting pummelled by cold and flu? Struggling with aches and pains? Book a visit with your doctor - because as they say, health is wealth.
An important part of wellness for the BRCC team is also around a little discussed topic - your pelvic floor. Since introducing the Emsella chair into the clinic, courtesy of Erika at Inner Strength Mudgee, we’ve heard dozens of stories of women who have struggled with their pelvic floor strength, particularly post-childbirth.
The Emsella chair is designed to tighten pelvic floor muscles and help treat urinary incontinence and improve sexual health and function. It’s an important part of your overall health - and there’s no reason to suffer in silence!
Investing in a solid skincare regime might feel indulgent but it’s a vital part of your overall health and well-being. Your skin, particularly your face, is subject to sun damage, pollution, hormones and age, so making time to take care of it is critical.
We recommend our clients establish a regular at-home and in-clinic skincare routine that focuses on any specific concerns, while promoting overall skin elasticity and firmness. Invest in high-quality skincare, designed to target any problem areas, and make (at least!) daily serum, cleanser, moisturiser and sunscreen application non-negotiable.
Chat with our skin experts about what you want to achieve for your face - whether it’s removal of pigmentation, smoother skin, targeting acne or reducing the appearance of fine lines, we’ve got a range of treatments and machines designed to address your skin concerns.
In the lead-up to Christmas, we often get busier than ever, filling the calendar with end-of-year parties, catch-ups and events. To avoid the Christmas burn-out, put time in your diary during October for regular self-care.
It’s about you and what makes you feel good - whether that’s exercise, reading, a relaxing facial, dinner with friends, a kid-free weekend, a yoga session or a great Netflix series, take time this month to just recharge and reset. Remember: just like your body, your soul needs feeding too.
PS October is also Pink Up Mudgee month - a timely reminder to get those boobies checked! The Breastscreen NSW van will be in the Mudgee Railway Station car park until October 25, offering free mammograms for women aged 40 - 75.
This service aims to detect breast cancer early, before it has a chance to spread. Early detection increases the treatment options available and improves the chances of survival.
Make an appointment via breastscreen.nsw.gov.au or call 13 20 50.

Initially, Beauty Reclaimed was born to fill a gap locally for a permanent location for cosmetic injectables. Many beauty and skin clinics across the region had visiting injectors, but there was nowhere that offered a permanent cosmetic injectable service, with opportunity for follow-up and reviews.
Enter Beauty Reclaimed founder and owner Angela Winters - her desire from the outset has been to offer clients a permanent location for injectables so they can get treatments whenever it suits them. Her ethos has always been founded in natural-looking results, while giving clients the confidence to try injectables in a relaxed environment.
Ange has never compromised on her commitment to natural enhancements - only natural-looking results here! Beauty Reclaimed is all about subtle results - it’s what continues to set the clinic apart from its competitors.
The current clinic on Market Street in Mudgee is now home to five staff, four treatment rooms, a glam lounge and a diverse range of cosmetic, skin and beauty treatments. Ange and her team have made every effort to make the clinic an inviting, comfortable space, where clients can relax and take some time for themselves.
Despite the clinic’s growth, it continues to differentiate itself by its level of expertise. Beauty Reclaimed’s injectors are clinically trained nurses, with years of professional training behind them.
Both Ange and Sarah are university-educated nurses with hospital backgrounds, who are highly skilled in patient care and safety. They both bring this experience to the clinic, providing reassurance to their clients.
Additionally, both Nikki and Hannah (the clinic’s beauty therapists) are experts in their respective beauty fields, boasting years of industry knowledge and skills. They pride themselves on delivering a first-rate service to each and every client, and are both passionate about what they do - and the clients they treat.
Additionally, Beauty Reclaimed has always been dedicated to continually upskilling and retraining its staff. The team undertakes regular, consistent training on all machines, products and treatments to ensure the business continues to offer the best possible service.
The clinic has invested in state-of-the-art equipment, including the excel V laser and the Venus Versa; both industry-leading machines. The clinic has also introduced top-of-the-line skincare product ranges from Toskani, Bioline, Airy Day and Vida Glow.
These innovations mean residents from across Central West NSW have access to first-rate treatments and products, and the same level of skincare excellence as those in metropolitan areas.
Over the years, we’ve helped hundreds of clients reduce the appearance of chronic acne, rosacea, scarring, pigmentation, veins and more, while also introducing clients to injectables and making them feel comfortable to try new treatments.
We’ve inspired dozens of clients to commit to long-term skincare regimens, putting them on the path to better skin.
Warmer weather means lounging by the pool, summer dresses, and lazy days in your cossies - there’s no time for unwanted hair!
That’s where Beauty Reclaimed Cosmetic Centre’s new IPL hair removal treatment comes in. You can look forward to a hair-free summer after a few hair removal sessions, courtesy of the Venus Versa - the clinic’s new magic machine.
IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light - a treatment that uses strong pulses of light to achieve results. The Venus Versa’s IPL works for hair reduction by directing light at the pigment in the hair, causing a burst of heat that damages/kills the cells behind hair growth.
It all comes down to time and results. IPL hair removal lasts longer, is virtually pain-free, and is quicker to undertake - no need for rigorous daily shaving routines or painful waxing!
No. We compare the sensation to the feeling of an elastic-band flicking against your skin or a splatter of hot oil. IThe good news is the Venus Versa works quickly so you’ll barely have time to register the sensation. Any pain is normally strongest in the first treatment - the less hair there is, the less painful it becomes!
A jiffy! Real-time: about 15 minutes.
We recommend a minimum of six sessions to maximise results.
Results can also depend on your hair growth cycle. Just like your skin, your hair has a growth phase, a rest phase and a shedding phase. One of the main reasons you need to repeat IPL hair removal treatments is because your hair is not always in the same cycle phase at the same time, meaning sometimes it grows back quicker.
It’s the same as an eyebrow wax or a hair colour - sometimes you’ll get to six to eight weeks between treatments before you start seeing grey or unruly hairs; other times, it’s four weeks and you’re already seeing regrowth.
To get rid of hair permanently, you have to chase the cycles, which means you need up to six treatments, six-weeks apart, to maximise results.
We often get asked if all skin and hair types are suited to IPL hair removal. Most experts advise against IPL for darker skin, as there is a risk of discolouration. Those with light blonde or red hair should also avoid the treatment. The quickest and best results? Those with fine, dark hair and relatively light skin. Clients with underlying skin or medical issues, such as PCOS or thyroid problems, may find the treatment takes longer.
Keen to give it a go?
Mudgee’s Beauty Reclaimed Cosmetic Centre currently has 30% off IPL hair removal treatments until August 31 - get in quick to book your session!
]]>As Mudgee’s premier cosmetic centre, Beauty Reclaimed’s ethos has always been to deliver the highest quality service possible, ensuring our clients have a wonderful experience as soon as they walk through our door.
We’re committed to innovation, and to listening to what our clients want - and this includes updating our treatments and services to reflect our clients’ needs.
For months and months, our clients have been telling us they would LOVE to add laser hair removal and skin tightening to their treatment packages.
So, we listened.
The Beauty Reclaimed Cosmetic Centre in Mudgee is now home to the Venus Versa - a powerful, state-of-the-art machine that uses three different technologies to target common skin concerns, tighten skin, and reduce hair growth.
The three technologies - intense pulsed light (IPL) with SmartPulse targets vascular and pigment concerns and hair reduction, nanofractional radio frequency for skin resurfacing, which improves the appearance of textural skin conditions, and Venus’ MP2 technology, which combines multi-polar radio frequency and pulsed electromagnetic fields is used to tighten skin.
It sounds amazing, right? It basically means we’re able to use the different technologies to achieve amazing results, depending on our clients’ goals. Even better, all the technology is built into one nifty machine, so we’re able to offer several new treatments in the one session #bargain.
The Venus Versa is one of the leading machines in the aesthetic medicine space. It’s well-known for delivering outstanding results quickly, with little to no downtime.
The Venus Versa is a versatile little lady - she’s able to perform several treatments, and target a range of common skin conditions, including scarring, wrinkles, uneven pigmentation and skin tone, enlarged pores and unwanted hair.
At Beauty Reclaimed, we’ll be using the Venus Versa for:
Skin resurfacing: perfect for people wanting to reduce the appearance of scarring, rosacea, enlarged pores, wrinkles and uneven skin tone. The machine’s nanofractional radio frequency technology is used to improve the skin’s appearance.
IPL photo rejuvenation: designed to treat pigmented and vascular lesions. The advanced IPL technology is able to deliver direct bursts of energy into targeted skin areas, creating a clearer and brighter complexion.
IPL hair removal: the machine’s IPL is used to target the melanin in the hair shaft to prevent it from growing back.
Skin tightening: the machine’s MP2 technology is used to build new collagen and strengthen the skin’s natural protein support, and improve blood circulation.
Oh, the Venus Versa is clever - it uses targeted heating to improve skin, harnessing different methods and technologies for different results.
Some things we love most about this new machine: the treatments are virtually pain-free, with little to no downtime.
Plus, it’s highly effective - it’s renowned for delivering exceptional results in a short time. Many people start seeing a difference to their skin as soon as a day after their first treatment, so it’s pretty amazing. Plus, procedures are quick, non-invasive and available to virtually all skin types.
A very good question to ask!
The Venus Versa is designed to treat the surface of the skin. It works by altering the skin’s structure, using heat to stimulate the natural functions of the skin. It’s aimed at milder skin conditions.
Beauty Reclaimed Cosmetic Centre’s excel V+ laser is ideal for treating more challenging vascular and pigment conditions, along with severe acne, veins, and age spots. It uses a high-powered laser, designed to precisely and specifically target blood vessels much deeper in the skin.
Both machines have their place in the clinic - our experienced cosmetic nurses will provide advice on which machine & treatments are best for you, depending on your skin goals.
You can watch more the Venus Versa in action here.
It’s harder to get up in the morning, more difficult to exercise in the evening and before the sun rises, and there’s an overall sense of just “meh.”
That’s why self-care is more important than ever in the cooler months. It’s essential to set aside time every day for a little ‘me’ moment. Whether it’s starting off your day with meditation and a cup of tea in the sunshine, or a walk around the block before the evening routine kicks in, making time to relax, reset and recharge is critical - even when you don’t feel like it.
At the Beauty Reclaimed Cosmetic Centre in Mudgee, we’re doing our bit to support our clients’ quest to carve out some self-time with two special offers during June & July. Both deals are designed to provide much-needed TLC, while also benefiting your skin and overall health.
We know the cold Mudgee weather can be trying on your skin. Many of our clients struggle with dry, dehydrated skin in the winter months, despite keeping up their regular skincare routine.
As the winter chill sets in, we recommend clients invest in a series of laser genesis facials, designed to give the skin a serious collagen boost. Our laser machine - the ev+ - is the industry-leading device for laser treatments, and is world-renowned for delivering outstanding results with minimal downtime.
At Mudgee’s Beauty Reclaimed Cosmetic Centre, we’re home to the only ev+ machine in the mid-west, making our clinic a coveted spot for high-quality laser treatments. While the laser machine is fantastic for targeting specific skin conditions, including acne, rosacea, scarring and skin tags, it is also ideal for creating refreshed, youthful-looking skin in just a few treatments.
The laser genesis facial offers all the relaxing vibes of a traditional facial, while also giving your skin the ultimate collagen boost. We pair every deluxe facial with a light skin peel, tailored serums and LED therapy, to maximise your skin’s glow. Regular laser genesis facials help ensure your skin looks plump and healthy all-year-round.
The Beauty Reclaimed Cosmetic Centre Mudgee is offering 10% off all laser genesis facials throughout June & July. Use code GENESIS10 for 10% off your treatment when booking. Book here to start your journey to gorgeous skin!
When it’s cold and miserable outside, there’s nothing better than getting under a cosy blanket, listening to relaxing music and letting your troubles fade away with a glorious massage.
At the Beauty Reclaimed Cosmetic Centre, we’re proud to offer a range of relaxation massages, courtesy of our new beauty therapist, Hannah. A massage specialist, Hannah’s treatments are designed to relieve tension, while leaving you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
The clinic is now home to both traditional full-body and head massages, along with the unique Lava Shell massage. An alternative to the popular hot stone massage, lava shells can radiate heat for up to an hour, allowing our therapists to provide a continuous, warm body massage #solush Lava Shell massages also help boost blood and lymph circulation, soothe aches and pains, and reduce swelling and water retention, while giving you 100% relaxation.
Therapist Hannah will also be offering Indian head massages, which are well-known for boosting hair growth. These massages help stimulate the hair follicles, promoting strong, shiny hair, while also loosening any tension in the scalp.
To celebrate Hannah’s arrival, we’ve taken 10% off all massages with her during June & July. Use code MASSAGE10 at check-out when booking. Book your treatment here.

Many women struggle to find a spare 10 minutes to pop on moisturiser and a face mask - they’re simply cleansing in the shower, throwing on some serum and hoping for the best.
At the Beauty Reclaimed Cosmetic Centre in Mudgee, we know many of our clients are time-poor. That’s why we recommend LED - it’s quick, safe for all skin types, relaxing and there’s no down-time, so you can book an LED session in your lunch break and head back to the office, knowing glowing skin is on its way!
Light emitting diode therapy (LED) uses wavelengths of light to target common skin problems, including acne, inflammation, redness and wrinkles. LED is often used in skincare treatments as it’s a great way to penetrate the skin and stimulate collagen production for a fuller, healthier-looking glow. We love it as a complement to laser sessions, peels or epidermal levelling, or as a stand-alone treatment if you’re looking for a quick skin pick-me-up.
LED sessions take just 20 minutes - clients are tucked into the chair with some UV-protection glasses, a blanket and relaxing tunes; they then simply lie under the LED light and let it work its magic!
At our Mudgee skin clinic, we use different coloured light frequencies, based on the client’s skin concerns:
Red light sessions are for serious collagen-boosting. When the light is absorbed into the skin, it stimulates collagen proteins, leaving your skin looking smoother and fuller. Red light is used to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and can also improve skin texture and tone.
Blue LED targets the skin’s sebaceous glands, which are responsible for producing oil. Blue light sessions are designed to kill acne-causing bacteria under the skin, reducing break-outs, inflammation and redness associated with acne.
Green LED is used to improve pigmentation, reduce redness and help with skin inflammation.
Yellow LED helps to improve skin texture and tone and reduce redness.
AKA the big guns! Infrared lights deeply penetrate the skin, helping to reduce wrinkles, tighten sagging skin and improve texture.
We recommend regular LED sessions to maximise results - you can add an LED session to your skincare treatment or book a stand-alone session. We can even combine different wavelengths!
Serious about rejuvenating your skin ahead of summer? The Beauty Reclaimed Cosmetic Centre Mudgee has just released a new LED membership to keep your skin hydrated and glowing through the cooler months.
For just $49 per week, you can enjoy unlimited LED sessions - it’s a great way to give your skin some regular TLC!

It also means it’s the perfect time to prepare your skin for the cooler months - and that’s where our laser machine comes in.
Beauty Reclaimed Cosmetic Centre Mudgee is home to Cutera’s Excel V+ (eV+) - a cutting-edge, industry-leading laser machine (yes, a real laser!), designed to treat many common skin problems, and promote collagen and elastin production for improved skin texture and tone.
Winter is the ideal time to invest in a series of laser treatments, as we tend to spend less time outside in the cooler months, which means less time out in the direct sun and less potential damage from sun exposure. It’s also the perfect season to hunker down and give your skin time to heal and rejuvenate (finally, an excuse to watch Netflix in your PJs!)
Have you spent too much time in the sun and now you’re feeling the effects of sunspots and pigmentation? Perhaps you finally want to get on top of your redness or rosacea? Maybe you just want to give your skin a serious collagen boost before the weather heats up again?
The eV+ can treat more than 20 different types of skin discolouration and vascular skin conditions. Most clients seek it out to treat facial redness, spider veins, sunspots, and active acne, and to improve fine lines and wrinkles.
The eV+ is known for its transformative results, particularly its ability to treat small areas with absolute precision, making it possible to minimise red and brown spots in just a few sessions.
At Beauty Reclaimed, we spend the initial laser sessions focusing on your overall skin problems and concerns, creating a smooth canvas and minimising imperfections.
The following sessions are all about the details! We hone in on any specific remaining imperfections to ensure an overall smooth and even skin tone and appearance.
If you don’t have any specific skin concerns, you can still reap the benefits of laser to keep your skin youthful and plump. Consider replacing your traditional monthly facial with a deluxe laser genesis facial - you’ll still get all the benefits of a cleansing, relaxing facial, while also giving your skin the ultimate collagen boost!
Plus, we pair every deluxe laser genesis facial with a light peel and LED therapy, designed to give your skin maximum health and glow.
Regular laser sessions help to stimulate collagen formation and keep your skin looking healthy all-year round.
Not exactly sure what your skin needs? Get in touch - nurse Ange and the team pride themselves on staying up-to-date with continual training and are happy to talk through the benefits of the eV+ and how you can harness it to reach your skin goals.
It’s taken us a week or so to get over the fact that summer is over - because if you know us, you know we love the warm weather, daylight savings and weekend sundowners! But now we’ve started to come around to the idea of Mudgee in autumn, we’re actually pretty excited.
Cosy weather to snuggle in front of the fire, spicy red wines, cute winter fashion - there’s so much to look forward to about the cooler months ahead.
One thing we’re not excited about? The harsh effects of the cold on our skin. From correcting summer sun spots to prepping your routine to protect and hydrate, our Mudgee skin clinic has all the tricks you need. Gorgeous, glowy autumn skin - here we come!
After spending months in the sun, it’s common to have notched up some sun damage on your face. But dull and dehydrated skin doesn’t have to stick around - in fact, with some simple steps, you can get your skin back to its old self - maybe even better!
At Beauty Reclaimed Cosmetic Centre Mudgee, our go-to technique for radiant skin is our laser skin therapy, which is a real winner for treating pigmentation, sun spots, and signs of ageing. It also promotes collagen and elastin production for improved skin texture and tone. The light from the laser transmits heat into the skin, which targets dark colouring.
The laser then shatters the pigment, drawing it to the surface and allowing the dermis to begin its own natural healing. The result? A beautiful, even complexion.
When it comes to giving your skin some TLC, exfoliation is essential. To improve lacklustre skin, our Mudgee beauty clinic recommends using products with alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), which have anti-inflammatory properties that can boost blood flow to the skin, while fixing pale, dull complexions. We’re loving products like Toskani’s Anti-ageing + HA Ampoule and Purifying Exfoliating Mask.
As autumn progresses to winter, your skin might need more regular attention to ditch the dead and dry top layer. For this, we go straight to our trusty epidermal levelling treatment. The holy grail of sprucing up your skin, this treatment uses a flat blade to remove dead skin cells & any fine hairs.
You don’t just get glowing, silky skin with this treatment, it also allows for a deeper penetration of serums and rich moisturisers - and who doesn’t want that?!
A long summer followed by harsh, cold weather is a recipe for dehydrated skin. Autumn is the time to start packing your skin with hydration and nourishment. After sloughing away your damaged summer skin, we recommend a good mask or treatment to kick off your hydration mission.
For at-home solutions, give Toskani’s Clarifying Peel Booster a go to stimulate cell regeneration, and improve pigmentation irregularities. Our Mudgee skin clinic’s range of skin peel treatments are another indulgent way to plump and freshen your skin post-summer.
Treatments like our corrective de-sense instant relief treatment, photo-ageing peel, or spot-out treatment are designed to reduce signs of ageing and sun damage, while restoring skin tone and radiance. They also make great follow-ups to our laser skin therapy.
And for something that’s totally tailored to your specific skin problems, the Beauty Reclaimed Cosmetic Centre Mudgee offers skin consultations and packages for long-term solutions.
All these skin hacks are great, but they won’t pull their weight without a heavy dose of hydration. With the colder months coming, it’s vital to stock up on thick, occlusive moisturisers to lock in your skin’s nutrients. If you’re currently using a gel or foam cleanser, it might also be worth considering switching to a milk or cream cleanser to kickstart your hydration from the very first step.
A couple of products we adore over autumn and winter are the Bioline Nourishing Cream Tetrapeptide, which has a rich texture and heavier formula that melts into the skin, and this soft, ultra-delicate Milk-Cream Cleanser.
Of course, there’s another method of hydration - the inside-out approach. To really drive home your skin’s health, drink plenty of filtered water (aim for 8+ glasses per day) and ensure you’re consuming five portions of fruit and veg daily.
For lush, supple skin, we like to think of skincare as a crucial part of our self care routine. Just like we enjoy warm baths, scented candles, and a cosy night in, skincare gives you a luxurious, confident feeling that’ll warm you right through to next summer!
Get in touch with nurse Ange and the team to book a treatment or skin consult, and get your skin sorted this autumn.

Despite the surge in cosmetic injectable treatments in recent years, many would-be clients still have questions and concerns before they sit in the chair.
At the Beauty Reclaimed Cosmetic Centre Mudgee, our expert injectors perform these treatments all day, every day – so we’re well-placed to offer you honest, result-driven advice on all things injectables.
As Mudgee’s premier cosmetic injectables clinic, we’re always available to answer the most commonly asked questions (and the not-so-common!) about cosmetic injectables!
Cosmetic injectables are non-surgical treatments that use injectable substances to enhance the appearance of the face and body. The most common cosmetic injectables are dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle.
FYI - Botox is just a brand name for injectables, like Coke or Nike!
Dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid - a natural substance found in the skin. Fillers come in different molecular sizes, depending on the job they need to do.
They are injected under the skin to add volume, smooth out wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. The effects of dermal fillers can last anywhere from several months to a year or more, depending on the type of filler used.
Anti-wrinkle injections (commonly known as Botox) are a type of injectable that works by temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles and fine lines.
Botox is most commonly used on the forehead, between the eyebrows, and around the eyes. It can also be used to treat a variety of other conditions, including migraines, jaw clenching, hay fever (we’ve had great success with this at our Mudgee clinic!), excessive sweating, and muscle spasms.
Cosmetic injectables are generally safe when performed by a trained, experienced professional, like nurse Ange at the Beauty Reclaimed Cosmetic Centre Mudgee.
However, as with any medical procedure, there is always a risk of side effects, such as swelling, bruising, or infection.
It's important to choose a reputable practitioner and to follow their after-care instructions carefully to minimise the risk.
The length of time that cosmetic injectables last varies, depending on the type of injectable used and the individual's skin type, lifestyle, and other factors.
Dermal fillers typically last anywhere from several months to a year or more, while anti-wrinkle treatments (Botox) can last for three to four months.
The level of discomfort associated with cosmetic injectables can vary, but most people describe the injections as feeling like a small pinch.
We use numbing cream and distraction tools to help reduce discomfort during the procedure.
In general, cosmetic injectables are suitable for most people, who are in good, general health and want to enhance their appearance. However, it's important to discuss your medical history and any concerns you may have with your practitioner before treatment.
Pregnant or breastfeeding women cannot have some cosmetic injectable treatments – contact nurse Ange for more information.
Your appointment begins with a thorough facial assessment and suggested treatment plan, specific to your individual needs, concerns and budget.
After discussing all treatment possibilities and potential side effects, you will complete your medical consent form and have a brief video call with one of our trained cosmetic doctors.
The doctor will further assess your suitability for treatment and prescribe the medication needed for nurse Ange to perform your treatment.
Your treatment then takes just a few minutes!
You will receive an after-care pack with detailed instructions for what to do - and not to do. Mostly, it is important to avoid exercise or laying down for a few hours post-treatment.
You will receive an email and SMS the following day from our clinic, checking up on your treatment and any side effects. Any concerns will be immediately addressed.
Two weeks after your anti-wrinkle appointment, you will receive a check-up message from our Mudgee injectables clinic, asking how your results are looking and feeling.
An in-person review can also be scheduled.
These are just a few of the most commonly asked questions about cosmetic injectables. If you have any additional questions or concerns, it's important to discuss them with a licensed practitioner who can provide personalised advice and guidance.
Nurse Ange at Beauty Reclaimed Mudgee is always available and happy to answer your questions – get in touch for more information.
]]>January is typically the time for new year’s resolutions - a commitment to exercise daily, meditate more, stress less or take up a new hobby.
But for skin and beauty specialists, the new year is prime time to get our clients focused on their skincare routine and making a commitment to invest in the long-term condition and maintenance of their skin.
For many clients, a renewed focus on their skin in the early months is timely. It comes on the back of summer holidays, when long days outside, sunburn, and increased exposure to alcohol, the ocean and swimming pool chlorine, can wreak havoc on your skin.
Many clients return from their Christmas break in desperate need of a solid skincare regime to rebuild their skin cells, and rejuvenate their face, just in time for the cooler months.
That’s where we come in - as Mudgee skin specialists, we work with our clients to develop a personalised, easy-to-follow skincare regime that keeps skin looking healthy, lush, and supple all-year-round.
We devise a custom treatment and product routine for your skin type, and we work with you to ensure your skin dreams come true!

If you’ve only got a short time to get organised, try our 'Glow Up' package. It delivers on its name – we’ll have you ready in just twelve weeks.
The package includes:
• 3x laser genesis facials – using our state-of-the-art Excel V+ (eV+) laser machine, these facials help to rejuvenate your skin deep below the surface by promoting new collagen and elastin, so the surface skin is plump and fresh. This treatment is perfect for a range of skin conditions including rosacea, diffuse redness, inflammatory skin conditions and acne. It can also help even-out skin texture and reduce large open pores, meaning your make-up will sit flawlessly on your face all day.
• 3x custom peels – for healthy, radiant skin in just 45 minutes! Nurse Tash will use a customised peel, designed for your individual skin type and goal. Whether its exfoliation, hydration, lessening the signs of ageing or sun damage, acne or helping to treat oily skin, these peels will have you camera-ready for your big day.
• LED during each session: finish with 20 minutes under the LED post peel or laser facial to maximise your results.
If you’re serious about getting your skin in good shape and you’ve got a bit more time up your sleeve, we recommend our 'Fixer' package.

• 2x laser genesis facials (see above).
• 2x epidermal levelling sessions - also known as dermaplanning or epi-blading, this treatment uses a flat blade to remove dead skin cells & any fine hairs. The result is glowing, silky skin for flawless make-up application (a must-have for your wedding day!) & deeper penetration of serums.
- 4x custom peels (see above).
- LED to finish each session.
If you’re looking for something a little extra, consider anti-wrinkle injections to smooth out those unwanted lines or filler to give your lips extra fullness. From frown lines, crow’s feet or a lip flip to give you that perfect pout for your first kiss as a married couple, we’ve got you covered.
Results can be seen as early as 5-14 days, with results lasting three + months. If it’s your first time having cosmetic injectables, we recommend booking six months out from the wedding so we can customise your treatments to get the best result for you.
We do not recommend any injectables 4 weeks prior to the wedding just in case anything needs adjusting. Get in touch with Nurse Ange for a consultation and pre-wedding injectable plan.
So, your skin is looking fab – now it’s time for the big day!

]]>For many of us, winter tends to be a hibernation period, where we retreat inside, snuggle by the fire and hit pause on some of our regular skin and cosmetic treatments.
Now it’s time to shed those winter woollies and get back outside - spring is here! And who doesn’t want to have that beautiful ‘I’ve just returned from a trip to the south of France’ glow without the holiday price tag (and the stress of those airport lines!)
We love laser therapy for a post-winter glow-up. However, it can be a little overwhelming when it comes to treatments, and knowing what’s the most effective, painless way to get your skin up-to-scratch.
Here’s a few tips to help you get the most out of your laser therapy…
First, we need to try and understand: what is laser?
LASER is actually an acronym for “light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation.” It uses specific wavelengths to treat specific skin conditions.
You’ve probably heard of IPL (intense pulse light) therapy. It’s a broadband light system that can treat a broad range of skin concerns.
Well, think of laser and IPL like comparing a high-powered rifle to a machine gun. Both can get you the results you’re after – it just depends on what you want to achieve.
Both laser and IPL have their place in the market. IPL can treat large areas, due to its broad system, and is most commonly associated with removing unwanted hair and treating the skin’s surface.
Laser is designed to provide a more targeted light therapy that focuses on penetrating specific levels of skin to give you lasting results over a shorter period of time.
Basically, we wanted the high-powered rifle! We were impressed with Cutera’s reputation and safety profile. For more than 20 years, Cutera has continued to enhance their technology to improve safety, efficacy and client comfort.
The eV+ is the latest innovation of the Cutera laser, with more than 35 applications across pigment, vascular conditions, rejuvenation and more.
Dual wavelength for flexibility in superficial and deeper lesions
Sapphire cooling tip makes treatments more comfortable for clients
Large spot size allows for quick global treatments
Zero calibration results in “clear the canvas” approach, where multiple concerns can effectively and easily be treated in a short time
TGA and FGA indicated – backed by science and evidence
Tracing handpiece to treat hard-to-reach vessels, such as inside and around the nose
Regulated technology
Specialised and ongoing training and support
This technology has been developed by dermatologists and delivers 50 per cent more power and speed than other machines of its kind. It targets larger spot sizes, reducing the amount of energy used. This means shorter treatment times, quicker results, less down-time between treatments, and what you really want to hear: less pain.
The eV+ can treat more than 35 different dermatological skin complaints. At the Beauty Reclaimed Cosmetic Centre, we’ve seen great results for vascular issues like rosacea telangiectasia, diffuse redness and spider veins, while also treating pigmentation, freckles, age spots, acne and surgical scars. It’s also ideal for reducing fine lines and boosting collagen stores to restore freshness. Interestingly, it also works a treat on nail fungus and bruises!
The eV+ is designed for all skin types and colour. It works well for people with serious skin concerns, right through to those just wanting a little freshen up.
We’ve all heard the saying ‘beauty is pain,’ but with the eV+, it doesn’t have to be.
eV+ takes as little as 10-15 minutes for your average treatment or up to 30 minutes, for more intense treatments/larger treatment areas.
The sensation? Depending on the energy selected, it can feel like warm raindrops right up to a hot flash against the skin. The eV+ has a built-in cooling mechanism, meaning the skin can be cooled pre-and-post-treatment (right down to five degrees) to reduce discomfort during treatment.
Get your skin spring-ready with the eV+, exclusively available at Beauty Reclaimed Cosmetic Centre.
Wow, 3 years of Beauty Reclaimed Mudgee - I can hardly believe it! When the idea to open a cosmetic injectables clinic in Mudgee first started in my head, I never imagined I’d be where I am today. And while a lot of blood, sweat and tears have gone into making this dream a reality, I put my success largely down to my beautiful clients, who have supported me every day for the past three years.
So, in honour of Beauty Reclaimed’s big third birthday, I’ve taken some time to reflect, and come up with the three biggest lessons I’ve learned over the past three years.
In recent times, worrying has become our default state. But what I’ve learned is that worrying doesn’t solve your problems. Your business will grow and evolve because you put hard work in and stay your own course - not because you worry about everything.
Instead of fretting about what others think of you, focus on backing yourself and your ideas, working hard, and staying focused on your goals.
The other thing we all tend to worry about is trying to please everyone. You’re never going to be every person’s cup of tea - and there will be people who have absolutely no interest in your business ideas. And that’s ok! It’s not your job to please everyone; it’s your job to find out who your audience is, and then support them with your offering.
Having an amazing community of clients is the most rewarding part of being a business owner. It’s also essential if you want your business to succeed. Once you’ve identified who your target market is, the next step is to earn their loyalty.
The way I’ve been able to do that is by treating clients like I would my closest friends or family. Build a loyalty program to reward the people supporting your business, and always show your appreciation for their support. Remember that your customers are more than just dollar signs - they’re priceless!
Focus on how you can best support them through your work - for me, that’s by offering support and talking things through while they’re in the chair, endless smiles and hugs (when it’s Covid-safe!) and treating customers how I like to be treated. As a result, I’m lucky enough to call many of my clients friends.
When you go into business, every new step is scary and it’s natural to doubt yourself. But I’ve learned that believing in yourself and doing what you know is best is the smartest move you can make.
Don’t compromise on quality - even if it means spending a few more dollars - and always remember that you’re the expert, so trust your gut on big decisions. Don’t compromise on your pricing either - know what you’re worth and ask for it. By being your authentic self, being confident in your offering, and by providing a quality service or product, your reputation will grow and your business will thrive.
I have so many wonderful people to thank for all of Beauty Reclaimed Mudgee’s success over the years. And while this isn't exactly how I wanted to celebrate this milestone, I can’t wait to get back in the clinic and share the next three years with you all!

The COVID-19 statewide lockdown is upon us again #sigh
While I’m all about making the best of a bad situation, I understand these few weeks without your fillers and freshen-ups can feel like forever!
No need to despair - I’ve come up with a list of ways to help keep your skin fresh and luscious, and your fillers ‘full’ for longer. Consider it a necessary act of self-care right now…
They weren’t lying when they said to drink eight glasses of water a day, and when you’re looking to extend the life of your fillers, this is more important than ever. I aim for two litres of water daily, which not only helps fillers, but your skin in general. It’s the easiest and most nourishing thing you can do for your skin, lockdown or no lockdown. Fill your water bottle at the start of the day and sip continuously.
Don’t let the ‘Groundhog Day’ feeling see you slide on your skincare routine. If anything, your skincare regimen is more important now, when trips to the clinic are off the table. Ensure to cleanse and moisturise daily, wear sunscreen, and always wash your make-up off at night.
Just like when using products with alpha-hydroxy acid, you should limit your sun exposure if you want to maintain your fillers, and support skin safety. This means SPF 50+ every day, wearing a hat, and limiting the amount of direct sunlight your face gets.
This one might be a touch harder given the circumstances! But if you want your fillers and skin to look as lush as possible, you’ll just have to trust me. Caffeine has a dehydrating effect on the body, which in turn affects the skin. This results in things like severe dryness, excessive oiliness, inflammation, and premature aging. As for alcohol, it has an inflammatory effect on the skin. As you can imagine, this inflammation can cause redness, dryness, puffiness, and acne.
Try swapping the afternoon coffee or second glass of wine for a peppermint or chamomile tea, which, as an added bonus, will help soothe your body and keep the stress from popping up on your face. Which brings me to my next point...
Do you notice how your face scrunches up and your brow furrows when you’re stressed, angry, or upset? Now consider how much stress we’re under right now - and how that might be affecting your face (and your need for a little injection!).
Take this as a sign to bring a bit of ‘stress free time’ into each day to help calm your nervous system and be more mindful. Start your day with a guided meditation, enjoy a bubble bath, pop on a face mask, and try shutting your phone off in the evenings. Take regular breaks if you’re working (or schooling) from home and carve out some time to do the things that make you smile - not frown!
If you have any questions on keeping your skin fresh and happy during lockdown, you can send me a message and I’d be more than happy to give you some extra advice. My online store is also stocked with some divine goodies to give your skin some TLC until we can get you back in the clinic.
Your first appointment at a cosmetic injectables clinic shouldn’t be nerve-wracking or off-putting. That’s why at Beauty Reclaimed, we work hard to make you feel comfortable, confident, and the best version of yourself. If you’ve not tried cosmetic injectables or don’t know what to expect, here’s everything you need to know before your first visit to the clinic.
Make sure your injector is an experienced, qualified practitioner. Angela has trained as a registered nurse, along with working as a clinical nurse educator and clinical nurse specialist.
Angela has continued her nursing career in Mudgee, while also opening and working in her Beauty Reclaimed clinic. Angela holds both a Nursing Degree from the University of Newcastle and a Masters Degree in Advanced Practice Nursing with Distinction.
Each treatment session starts with a total facial assessment to identify any areas of concern, followed by a consultation with a highly-qualified Cosmetic Medical Doctor via telehealth. You will be fully assessed for your suitability for the proposed treatment and encouraged to ask questions.
Angela will make the whole process simple. The whole ethos of Beauty Reclaimed is to leave you feeling calm, confident, and assured in your treatment plan. Angela is dedicated to getting the best result for each individual client, with subtle cosmetic injectables that preserve natural facial movements for a refreshed, healthy look.
Angela’s wealth of knowledge really shines when you join her in the clinic. She knows the answers to your frequently asked questions and she’ll tell you honestly what you can expect from your treatment. If you’re wondering what treatments you might be interested in - and what they involve - head to the Beauty Reclaimed Instagram page to see Angela’s tutorials, tips, and sense of humour to put you right at ease.
No, they won’t look huge! However, some swelling, bruising and stiffness is very common post-treatment, especially on the lips as they are a delicate area. Angela always checks in with her patients post-treatment to see how they’re feeling.
Just remember, patience is key - most swelling/bruising will subside after about 48 hours. To minimise swelling, pop some ice on the injection site, avoid heat and exercise for 24 hours after treatment, and drink lots of water to keep your body well-hydrated.
Yes, you’ll need to leave two weeks between your vaccinations and any filler treatments. This ensures the vaccination has ample time to stimulate an immune response in your system and minimises the chance of any potential side effects, including additional facial swelling.
Every person - and every face - is different. It’s common to see the peak effects of anti-wrinkle treatments at two weeks and then it slowly wears off over eight to 12 weeks. Angela recommends regular treatments throughout the year to maximise your results and maintain longevity to your regime.
So many of our clients are concerned that people will know they’ve spent a little time in the treatment chair. If you’re worried your friends, family or colleagues will be able to tell you’ve had some fillers or anti-wrinkle injections, we’re here to tell you not to worry!
The underlying goal of every Beauty Reclaimed treatment is to achieve a natural-looking result. That means no “trout pout” or super tight, stretched-out skin - just a refreshed and rejuvenated look. On top of that, Angela is committed to her secret-keeping, so if discretion is what you’re after, you’ll find it at Beauty Reclaimed. Angela will never disclose anything without your permission.
